Whimsy as Resistance Workshop October 14th 6pm

Whimsy isn't just an aesthetic. Whimsy is an act of resistance! This workshop combines Black feminist theory, modern magick, and principles from grassroots activism to explore radical self and community care. Through journaling, magical exercises, and community play, we'll discover together new ways to add whimsy into our everyday lives while resisting and combating harmful systems. Come ready to play and connect! ✨

About the Instructor
Sola Dee is a (new!) Philadelphia-based organizer, writer, coach, facilitator, and tarot reader. The epitome of a triple air sign, Sola has spent her life making things for herself and her community. Some of her favorite creative side quests include writing and editing a zine on mental health and relationship styles, giving tarot readings in the back of a double decker bus in London, hosting queer meet-ups in Chicago, documenting her solo travels on Youtube, and writing a career coaching column with Autostraddle. Sola grounds her work in Black feminism, queer theory, and a praxis of play.
